Luka Dončić Delivers Unforgettable Moments on This Week’s ‘Hot Ones’ Episode
The best part of Hot Ones often happens when guests face the infamous ”Da Bomb” wing, and Luka was no exception. After his first bite of the ultra-spicy wing, he instinctively let out a string of Slovenian curse words, which he quickly tried to cover up. It’s safe to say those words probably didn’t mean “good morning.”
Luka Dončić’s love for musicals is well-known, however this time he gave a deeper look into his pregame routine. He’s a huge fan of Mamma Mia and even mentioned attending a Broadway show. He also called High School Musical the best Disney Channel movie, with Get’cha Head in the Game being his favorite track. And as if that wasn’t enough, Luka Dončić revealed he listens to Britney Spears’ Oops!… I Did It Again before games. So, yes, his pregame playlist may resemble that of a 13-year-old in the early 2000’s.
Luka also reflected on some of his most memorable game-winning shots. He highlighted his clutch basket over Rudy Gobert in the 2024 Western Conference Finals and, of course, his game-winner against the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2020 NBA bubble playoffs, which Los Angeles Lakers fans will definitely remember.

Luka discussed the differences between playing in Europe and the NBA, noting that there’s much more trash talking in the NBA, saying “Anybody talks.” He also mentioned the toughest crowds he’s played in front of, naming Serbia, Greece, and Turkey as the most intense. He recalled a game against Panathinaikos while he was with Real Madrid, where his team fell behind 20-0 early on.
He also shared some fun personal details, like his admiration for former teammate Kyrie Irving and his nostalgia for playing Medal of Honor on PlayStation 2. It was a lighthearted, fun episode, definitely worth watching as we gear up for the Los Angeles Lakers‘ preseason games and Luka Dončić’s upcoming season debut.
