Juventus and Villarreal shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw. Villarreal led 1-0 through Georges Mikautadze, however Juventus came back with goals from Federico Gatti and Francisco Conceicao. Renata Veiga‘s 90th-minute strike earned Villarreal a point.

Napoli earned their first win of the campaign with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Lisbon. Rasmus Hoejlund scored both goals for Napoli, while Luis Suarez equalized from the penalty spot for Sporting.

In an earlier match, Newcastle United comfortably beat Union St. Gilloise 4-0, with goals from Nick Woltemade, Anthony Gordon (twice from the penalty spot), and Harvey Barnes.
